Minnesota Twins Handicapping: 2006 Season Preview

After three consecutive 90+ win seasons, these Twins dropped to 83-79. A lot of that had to do with tougher competition from their division. The White Sox were the World Series champions and the Cleveland Indians made a valiant push for the American League wild card. They were a combined 16-21 against these two teams.

As a favorite at home against division rivals, these Twins are 108-49 (+25 units) over the past 5 seasons. +12 units in the past two seasons. We expect these Twins to remain competitive within their division when they are playing the games they are expected to win.

Check out our Baseball Handicapping and Sports Handicapping.

Novel excerpts: Conflict

The stones covered the ground and people were all over. Today was the festival for the prince and his new fianc. There were banners and big games that children were interested in. In the center of the circle of buildings there was a beautiful fountain. This is where I am. My dark cloths didn’t match everyone else’s bright clothing. The prince’s messenger had told them to wear all those ridicules clothing.

“Here comes the Prince watch out!” yelled the guard as a little boy ran out in from of him. “How dare you run in from of the prince.” He stuck the little boy across the face and the little boy’s mother came and got the teary eyed boy.

Type of shelter and excercise a Miniature pony needs?

I live in sydney and i am horse crazy. I am still in high school.
We have a little mini house in our backyard. If we can somehow make that into a stable/room for the horse will it be ok?

The problem is will it get bored if i am at school and it will stay inside for a while until i get home?

How much excercise does it need? I was thinking every afternoon i take it for a l stroll around the streets.
Thanks alot!

Where can I ride a Clydesdale horse?

I live in Dayton Ohio. I am trying to find someone within 60 miles of my location with clydesdales so that I can gain experiance riding and caring for them. Eventually I would like to own one. Money is not an object, so I will pay good money to be able to do this. I am even willing to provide volunteer work.

Im kind of worried I found out that the stables where my mum keeps her horses is made out of concrete asbestos?

For years, and years the door rubs against the asbestos when opened and closed. I rarely go down there, however have done on occasion and opens and shut the stable doors, is this a risk factor with the amount I would be exposed to by disturbing the asbestos when opening and closing the door, or if there are other damaged parts?

What is your favorite experience with horses?

I think the bond between horse and person is amazing, and I know I’m not the only one. Can anyone share with me some of their favorite experiences?
Here are a few of mine:

When I was riding a huge Hanoverian horse named Abe. I was jumping in the lesson. My riding instructor accidentally spooked him, he boltede at first, then just went crazy. I am great controlling spooking horses, so I was easily able to get him to stop, even though I had lost my stirrups in the process, and jumped to the ground landing on my feet. When Abe saw that I was jumping, he thought he accidentally through me off, so he stood there to make sure I was ok, then he ran off across the field, considering he was still scared because his owner, which is my riding instructor, had spooked him. My mom, my best friend, Mary, and his owner and me, all called to him, but he walked over to me and rested his head on my shoulder. I knew He was saying sorry, and he knew I had already forgiven him. So I got back on and we did more jumping. on the trail in the woods back to the barn, he almost tripped on a rock, after that, he very carefully carried me to the barn, he didn’t want anything to happen to me.

Also a horse at camp had a very strong connection to me. He even got protective of me. I miss the way that he would look at me and relax his eyes so much knowing I loved him and saying I love you back. He always completely relaxed when I came to him and never bit me. He bit pretty much everyone else though.

I also love the way Star used to look at me and relax when I did parelli with her.
Another one is my best friend’s neighbors have three halflingers. The dominant one is really mean and I don’t like him much, but the lily and the other one who I don’t know his name, so I call him the one that appreciates the grass, is my favorite. I was at my best friends birthday party with two other people, it was a sleepover. We all dressed up funny in old fashioned clothes, I actually look like a guy the way I was dressed. I asked if we could go visit the ponies, like I do whenever I am there, so we did. I kept the clothes on when we went out. They were all the way across the big paddock and I called “Ponies!”
The one that appreciates the grass either cantered or galloped all the way across, and stopped right in front of me, he recognized my voice and was overly excited to see me. I love him and he really trusts me.

Cat breed: Russian Blue

The Russian Blue is a naturally occurring oriental breed, which is said to have originated in northern Russia and brought out by sailors in the 1860s. The breed was first shown in Britain in 1880, judged against other shorthaired blues. Previous names the breed went by include Maltese Blues, Spanish Blues, American Blues and Archangel Cats after the port of Archangel in Russia where the breed is said to have originated. It was not until 1912 that the British Cat Fancy decided to distinguish the breed from other Foreign Shorthairs, a category of cats it had previously been considered to be a part of. However at that time the breed was still called the British Blue Read the rest of this entry »

My AVG detected a Trojan Horse Generic10. BDRQ?

It said it was detected on World of Warcraft, my AVG says it has been healed and moved to virus vault. Does the virus vault actually eliminate the threat? What should I do, I all ready copy paste all passwords and usernames does that keep them from stealing my accounts? So any advice and does the trojan only work on things I type of World of Warcraft? And how do I get to the virus vault? Is AVG good for spyware as well as viruses. I’m kind of worried cause I have done some banking things that I have typed username and password. It is it possible the trojan could have gotten that info!?
Should I reformat computer?
I haven’t detected any lost accounts yet is it possibly dormant?
